In their 2006 Annual Report, the elders of Laurel Church stated that "the focus this past year has been on the development of a master plan that would map out our ministry vision for the next several years. This master plan will influence several major areas of church life, in particular our ministry and the facilities required to serve those ministries". With approval from the congregation, the elders have contracted with a consultant firm, Living Stones, to help evaluate Laurel Church in the areas of ministry, staffing, finances and facilities. This evaluation will help expose areas of weakness that limit healthy growth, and will provide Living Stones with needed information for recommending implementation strategies that will help further the development of the master plan. |
